Rules and Regulations of the Bathing Areas (Beaches) operated by Balaton-parti Kft.
1./ Boundaries of the designated bathing-place: White-based boards placed in
with on the shore and depicting black trunk on blue undulating water,
as well as red-white vertically-striped cylindrical buoys placed in the water.
2../ The blue buoys placed parallel to the shore mark depth of 120 cm measured at
putting out. They are with border-bouys inline.
3./ No bathing is permitted more distant than 1000 m from the shore. The bather has to
reckon with traffic of boats and water sport crafts on dangerous deepwater area
beyond buoys marking boundary of the bathing-place.
4./ Children under six and non-swimmer children under fourteen are permitted to
bath only under the oversight of an adult.
5./ Use of floating vehicles near bathers is permitted only if they
do not endanger the bathers.
6./ The service warning of a coming strorm- between 01. April und 31. Oktober
September - signals approach of the strorm, or occurrence in a short time,
with flashing yellow light placed on the shore is some places.
First degree storm warning: light signal flashing 45 times per minute.
In this case bathing is forbidden more destant than 500 m form the shore.
Second degree storm warning: light signal flashing 90 times per minute.
In this case bathing is fully forbidden in Lake Balaton.
7./ Night bathing in Lake Balaton is forbidden.
8./ No animals are permitted to take in on the area of the beach.
9./ On the property of Nagystrand bicycles and scooters cannot be ridden, only walked.
10./ The beach must not be attended by:
-Persons in feverish condition, besides suffering from infectious gastric-, intestinal and
cutaneous comlaints.
-Persons suffering from illness being accompanied with convulsive status,
unconsciousness, resp., conspicuous or extensive pathological change.
-Persons in drunken state.
-Persons under the influence of drugs or medicament of stupefacient effect.
11./ Use of lavatories is free of charge.
12./ In case of unauthorized entry, full ticket prices will be charged
and no discounts can be applied.
13./ Lifeguards are on duty during opening hours. Lifeguard hours and guarded teritory:
The duty of the liefguards starts one hour before opening and ends
at the closing time. Their teritory of guarding includes the beach and the water.
14./ Place and opening hours of First Aid:
A white sign with a red cross on it, shows the place of First Aid near the loadhouse.
The opening hours correspond with the chargeable opening time.
On the premises of the swimming quarters the directions of the rescue guard
must be followed at all times.
